What To Expect

Once you arrive at Slims Fish Camp, we will have the boat in the water and ready to go. Slims has free parking, clean restrooms, and ice drinks with snacks. If we're going to use live bait, then it can be purchased here as well. Once everyone is ready off we go to start the fishing trip.

Lake Okeechobee

Once out on Lake Okeechobee, you will hopefully catch a trophy fish, but most importantly have fun and learn a lot about the lake. Wildlife can be seen most of the day, everything from Otters, Alligators, Manatees, Snakes, and all kinds of birds.
Once our time is up, we will return to Slims marina once again!

Our thanks to Captain Galen Fugh for an awesome day of fishing, guiding us to various spots around the lake, and teaching about some of the techniques used to catch great fish.
Captain Galen was a great guide, a very friendly and personable guy with lots of humor and good conversation in his style, and he provided excellent equipment, knowledge, and guidance. We caught a ton of great fish and had a beautiful day.
