The Loxahatchee River tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours from Riverbend Park down the river, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, some sandy areas and thousands of species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful canopy of cypress trees. Currents and water levels vary with the seasons. Portage may be necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

The River tour was fantastic! It was exciting and peaceful at the same time. Jennifer was an excellent tour guide. She gave us information about the history of the river area and the plants and animals in it. We even had a photo op with an alligator!

Kayaking the river was a highpoint of our one week vacation. Rhianna, the guide, was knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and helpful. The nature area is fantastic. I highly recommend this activity.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience. Online check in was easy. Danny was at the tiki hut and prepared us for our guide Candice who was amazing. A manatee swam by just as we put the kayaks in. It was a wow moment! The canopy was breath taking and felt like we were in another world. It was nice to be able to relax and take it all in. We saw a small gator, different bird species, multitudes of turtles and so much plant life. I will definitely go back:)
Great tour with fun.

This was a great experience. The tour guide, Candice, was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information. We saw a gator and huge owl. This tour is good for beginners and experience kayakers.

This was an enjoyable experience!! Jennifer was very patient with us (non experienced in kayaking)and gave interesting information about river and area. She took a lot of incredible pictures and videos which is nice so one can just enjoy the beauty that surrounds you as you go down the river. 100% recommended!!
